Why spend one day celebrating Valentine’s Day when you can celebrate all weekend? At Ironworks Hotel Beloit, you can.
Spend the weekend relaxing and reconnecting with your Valentine while digging into extraordinary food in Beloit’s downtown and beyond. We put together a sample of what your Valentine’s weekend at Ironworks Hotel could look like. Read on to see what your stay could entail.
Friday Night
After you’ve checked in to your suite, you can either kick back and relax for the evening or get ready for a night out. If you want to start your weekend with dinner out, we recommend getting a reservation ahead of time for Merrill & Houston’s Steak Joint, located right off the Ironworks Hotel lobby. Great steaks, hand-crafted drinks and a romantic atmosphere with live music make for a perfect date night. Come for the food, stay for the live music from Chris Kohn.
Or you don’t even have to leave the room for a romantic date night. With in-room dining from Merrill & Houston’s, you can enjoy your dinner from the comforts of your suite just the two of you.
Saturday Morning
After that delicious dinner last night, you need to follow it with the best brunch you’ve ever had. You can’t go wrong with Bessie’s Diner, especially their Valentine’s weekend specials, Red Velvet Waffles, Sweetheart Funnel Cake Fries and Pineapple Strawberry Mimosas. But everything on their menu is a good choice. P.S. - Did we mention you can watch planes land and take-off at the Janesville Airport while you enjoy your meal? Consider it the cherry on top of brunch.
Saturday Afternoon
Midday and it's time to sink your teeth into the best burgers (and beer) in town. Lucy’s #7 Burger Bar serves their famous stuffed burgers alongside twenty (yes, twenty) Wisconsin beers on tap.
February's Burger of the Month? The Breakfast Burger. It’s stuffed with American and cheddar cheeses and topped with bacon, a fried egg and roasted red pepper aioli. Pair it with some loaded fries and finish things off with the sweetest treat of all, the Skookie! An "ooey gooey" chocolate chip cookie in a skillet topped with vanilla ice cream, need we say more?
Saturday Night
You can never be too full for a delicious dinner. After a long day of sampling some of the Beloit area’s finest foods, in-room dining might be calling your name, but if you stayed in last night, throw on your Saturday best and head out to the Beloit Club.
With our Member for a Stay privileges, you can make reservations to dine at the club. Their menu features a variety of options and their cocktails are made from scratch. It’s a no brainer for a Saturday night dinner with your Valentine.
Sunday Morning
Start your day with a Raspberry Mocha from Blue Collar Coffee Co. before going to the Beloit Club’s signature brunch buffet. They have everything you need for a Valentine’s brunch–from a prime rib carving station and omelet station to pancakes and desserts (and a complimentary mimosa bar).
Sunday Afternoon/Night
Did someone say tacos? truk’t did. They specialize in tacos, tequila and whiskey. And, boy, do they. You’ll never see flavor combinations like these–Korean BBQ, Surf & Turf, Shrimp Curry and more–and their special drinks and dessert over Valentine’s weekend are no exception.
Monday
If you’re planning to stick around for Valentine's Day, spend the day relaxing with your Valentine or check out whatever you didn't get to the day before! There are so many great downtown dining options and fun things to do.
To really take your Valentine’s weekend to the next level, we recommend adding our Ultimate Date Night package to your stay. Spark some romance with sparkling wine, gourmet truffles and a Geronimo Hospitality Group gift card. Reserve your stay... today.
Celebrating Valentine’s Day in Beloit sounds like a wonderful experience with all the cozy and romantic offerings mentioned. For a special treat, consider adding some unique culinary flair to your weekend plans. I highly recommend trying argentine asado, a traditional barbecue that brings bold flavors and an authentic experience perfect for a memorable meal. Exploring different cuisines can add an extra touch of adventure to your romantic getaway, making it truly unforgettable.
